Ah, The Typical Middle Class Americans View of the World. Do you think we need Change????

"So, these kind of views explain why we "Americans" deserve to be the world police. You know, set world policy, enforce world views and politics, and control the world on the whole because well we do such a good job of taking care of our own country in every way as well as the influence that we have wielded in the world was and has always been logically thought out, fairly done, and always for the good of the world."

-If this was a real qoute, The person quoted would have to be blind, deaf, dumb, and mildly retarted, OR EDUCATED IN THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS.-

We, the United States that is and directly us its citizenery, is to blame for this. Not our government or president, but us.

We are to blame because we as people not only prefer to be ignorant of most things not US of A like world history, our own history both short term and long term, world perspective and other countries influence, but in fact prefer to design our own "Fuffy" history where we gloss over any major mistakes, problems, etc.. and act like our shit does not stink.

What difference does it make if someone is "Multi-racial"?????

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24542138

Ok, so MSN News today has an article on being multi-racial and what it means to be multi-racial as well as the current population of each states ethnic make up including the multi-racial citizenry. It goes on to mention that this has come up because of the fact that Barrack Obama is a multi-racial man and how this effects the voters views of him and each other.

Wow, is mainstream America trying to figure out what us "Multi-racial" people consider ourselves and how we view the world, the US, as well as the current Politic?????

HELL NO..... ITS JUST ANOTHER STUPID ARTICLE TO FILL UP SPACE.

I am considered multi-cultural. I am Portuguese, Chinese, German, and Irish. I am also First generation American. But if you ask me what ethnic group I consider myself my answer would depend on where I was and who I was with most of the time. If you ask someone else what ethnic group that I was a member of the answer given would depend on the same thing.
(When I am with my mothers Portuguese family I am damn sure going to say Portuguese)

I can only give you one persons perspective. Mine. So let me give it to you strait. I do not generally define people as Black, White, Asian, or Hispanic except when discussing racial make up. Not ethnic make up or nationality. These definitions really mean nothing in the context of ethnic make up. An Italian guy does not say "Im White!!!!" He says " Im Italian!!" or "Im Sicilian!!" (Yes, there is a difference. Dont know what it is ask them. They will tell you believe me!!) Only in this country do "Black People" call themselves that so when I am in discussion with a self described "Black" person I will agree with them. But if you go to Africa the local people define themselves by tribal affiliation. Not " Im Black". ( But ask a Black American what nationality an Italian is and he will say "White".)

Hispanics dont say "Im Hispanic." They will tell you there nation of origin or in some cases what native tribe in South American they come from. And please, dont guess. Hispanics (Racial make up) can become very irate if you refer to them as something they are not. (Call a Salvadorian Puarto Rican and you'll see what I mean) Oh and Hispanic does NOT include people from Spain. They will say "I am not Hispanic. I am Spanish!!!!!" ( Same rule that goes with the Italians goes here. Ask one. They will tell you.)

Oh and all the rules that apply to "Hispanics" apply to "Asians" except what most people in the U.S. define as Asian is really, really broad. And in many cases wrong. Ask someone from Malaysia what nationality they are. Talk about a racially diverse country. Or Sri Lanka.

My point in all this is to take the time to ASK someone.

If you want to know what I really consider myself its something that all people no matter what country of origin, who live in the U.S. and are U.S. citizens should be quick to answer.

I am an American First and Foremost.

If you are a U.S. citizen ask yourself why thats not your first answer.

The US economy follows housing and auto sales. So why are we not prepared for a new depression?????

Every economist knows some basic rules of the "New World Economy". And that is if the US economy, which has been until the last 3-5 years the benchmark of the world, goes into any long term slump, then the rest of the world will follow. Since we subsidize over half of the worlds small countries economies, and we need US citizens tax money to spend on the subsidizing, then we wont be able to give out money we are not taking in.

Let me make this simple.

BAD US ECONOMY MEANS CUT IN REVENUES.

CUT IN REVENUES MEAN NO TAX MONEY TO GIVE TO OTHER COUNTRIES.

NO TAX MONEY TO OTHER COUNTRIES MEANS MASSIVE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE IN SMALL SUBSIDIZED COUNTRIES.

Seeing as how US home sales is going down the shitter and auto sales in the US are down almost 32% nationwide......

WHY ARE WE DOING NOTHING TO STOP THIS DEPRESSION FROM HAPPENING???

just something to think about citizens

or we can just bury our heads in the sand and ignore it.

What is going on with Myanmar is going on all over the World!!!!!

Why are we surprised or even bothered by what is going on in Myanman(Burma)??? Wow, you mean the ruling junta is taking credit for the aid the U.N. sent to help its citizenry??? Come on people... The world saw this in China, Serbia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, etc, etc, etc....

Now its world news and everyone is printing story after story about it. "How could this be taking place?

Its taking place because the people that live there allow it.

Its that simple. When the population has had enough it will take care of their own problems. The Junta that is in power came to power in the 80's thru a coupe. As have most of the governments in east asian countries.

Lets hope that the people of Myanmar get the aid they need to survive this terrible event. And the balls to overthrow the government if thats what it takes to make the changes they May feel they need.

But lets leave it up the them. We have had a Vietnam and now an Iraq.

Cant we learn our lesson????

Think about it citizens
Think about it.

Are we looking at the beginning of the downfall of our society????

You know, things have changed dramatically in our society in just the last 30 years. When I was a child in the 70's children were not allowed to act the way they act today. If you don't know what I'm talking about let me outline it.

Let me define "Children". Person between 5 years old and 15 years old.

1. Children at a young age have no respect for others, not just their senior in years.
Go to any mall or big box store and watch children act. Rarely do you hear "Yes Sir" or "No Ma'am". Employees at said locations are treated like they are less then the child by having to for go demands and actions that no self respecting parent would allow a child to say or do.

2. Children yell at their parents. They throw temper tantrums as well as successfully negotiate bratty demands. Need to see this go to a grocery store and watch a child grab "Anything" off a shelf and demand it. Watch the results.

3. Children will do an act that they know is unacceptable and do nothing to make it right or "Fix It" Same scenario as above only the child has spilled/broke something on the floor.

These are just some examples. I am sure you can come up with some of your own if you think about it. Now this is not all children. Nor is it most. But it is a large percentage of them. A much larger percentage then when I was young.

Why do you think this is happening?

I believe I can tell you.

Because most parents are afraid to parent. And have been for sometime. Why are they afraid??? There are many reasons but I believe that primarily parents have stopped being parents because it is easier to be friends. Parents have become advice givers instead of law givers.

What a crock of shit!!!!!

A parents has one job. That is to raise a child to the best of their ability. Preparing the child for life in the real world. To nurture that child in such a way that they are a benefit to society. If not a benefit then at least not a drain.

Where in there is a mention of friend??? No where. Yes I want my child to love me as well as like me.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I CAN GIVE MY CHILD IS AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS.

In the 3 examples I give above only one has a consequence. #2's consequence is that the child gets what they want.

That only teaches them to perpetuate the action.

We have a nation of spoiled children. As our children age they stay spoiled children. And spoiled children make crappy citizens. Citizens that believe they are entitled to be taken care of, not be punished for their actions, and act out in anyway they wish. Even if it is counterproductive to society.

So if our children as well as ourselves are counterproductive to society how can that society survive????

Think about it Citizens.

And start to act. Our society depends on it.

How do I thank God for giving me such a great Life and Family?????

This is my daughter Kayla. You may remember her from other posts. But this is a recent picture of her. When I look at her and think about my life I have to wonder "What did I ever do to deserve such a great life and family??"

I am not a very good person in general. I am a little arrogant. A lot selfish. Not to mention so direct at times I make a terd in a punch bowl look suttle. I have in no way shape or form done anything to deserve such a great life.

But there it is. I have a great life. I have great Friends ( Tim, John R., Dan, others not mentioned you know who you are) A great wife Kat. And a great daughter Kayla. And somehow, someway, luck or fortune or God decided I should have this.

So I just want to say --

Thank You
